“But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.” Luke 2:10
Christmas is a time for family and friends, of giving and charity, of loving and happiness. Unforturnately, for many, it is a time of loneliness and depression. For those who have matured out of the narcissism of childhood, the best remedy to that isolation and sad psychological state, is to direct one’s attention to others who are less fortunate. By placing the emphasis on others, our own problems seem less important, and the inclination to help will often override our own situations.
This year Christmas looks to be better than in the past few years. Some of the larger retail stores are putting up “Merry Christmas” banners rather than the secular “Happy Holidays” signs. Religion seems to be making a big comeback. Incoming President Trump has stated that people have to him that God spared him from assassination so that he, Trump, “can save our country and restore it to greatness.” Viewing the video of the first attempt, it lends credence to that supposition.
President-elect Trump and his transition team is adopting the slogan, “promises made, promises kept”. That’s a high mark to hit, but if the new Trump administration can fulfill a majority of those commitments, this Christmas we can look forward to a more unified nation, lower taxes, more money in the pockets of our workers who make tips and/or work overtime, and a much stronger military. Our most fervent hope is that because of that strong military, devoid of woke, DEI, CRT indoctrination, this will lead to “peace on earth and good will to men.”
It seems likely, that because of a vast majority of Americans now vocalizing a common sense ideology, the dangerous, leftist cultural adherence to the sexual transitioning children, this type of mutilation will be legally sanctioned for what it is: child abuse. The anti-scientific collegic and state policies of allowing biological men to play in women’s sports, and use women’s restrooms and locker rooms will be negated by a popular, nonviolent uprising by the people themselves.
There is a lot of work ahead. While the Black Lives Matter movement has been thoroughly discredited, and the mainstream, legacy, corporate press is now only believed by those blind and/or brainwashed, the people will see that Trump is transparent as glass, as he was during his first administration.
The populace will be able to choose among a variety of news sources without it being censored by the government. For the last few decades the government has often declared any news items with which it disagreed, as misinformation or disinformation and attempted to suppress or minimalize it. The rampant antisemitism on college campuses and in our streets needs to be addressed and people of good will, in and out of government, will address it anywhere it raises its ugly head.
So as Christmas comes this year, look to the future optimistically. Say “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year” or “Happy Hanukkah.” Judaism is the foundation of Christianity and our two religions are irrevocably intertwined. Smile at others. A wise comedian once said that even ugly people look a lot better when they smile. I know it works in my case. Sincerely ask about others and their families.
Things are really looking up. In the meantime, have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and have a very Happy New Year.

Merry CHRISTmas Buz! Yes, it would seem the future is brighter, however the Demon-crats still lie and threaten as they have for my adult lifetime. The destruction of our culture promoted by the Marxist left and the blatant disinformation on MSNBC,CNN and others was so off the chart that most Americans questioned and rejected it. And Donald J Trump’s message and major use of FREE media attention favored his reelection.
And Buz Williams, your service as a Long Beach police officer and your Faith and commitment to doing what is moral and right has served us well in the Greater Prescott area. Blessings to you and your family.
Tom, thank you for your kind words and your feedback. I look forward to seeing your response every week. A Merry CHRISTmas and a HAPPY New Year to you and yours. Buz
