Have you heard about Genasys Protect? It’s a handy tool for staying informed about your area, especially in emergencies. While you don’t need to download the app to receive critical alerts (public safety agencies will send a link in emergency notifications to show the impacted zones), it’s a great way to stay connected and see what’s happening near you!
For example, the City of Prescott uses Genasys to share updates like road closures for parades and events, such as the iconic Courthouse Lighting. Other agencies across Yavapai County, including the cities and towns of Dewey-Humboldt, Camp Verde, Jerome, Chino Valley, Clarkdale, Cottonwood, and Prescott, also utilize Genasys Protect to keep their communities informed. (Heads up: Sedona uses an internal product for their zones.)
Download the app from the Apple Store or Google Play if you’d like to follow your zone directly and get a heads-up on everything from event notifications to emergency preparedness. It’s a nifty way to stay in the know!

It’s very interesting format and, I am interested in this. Thanks for sharing this information 🙏
So, Prescott Valley is not a participant? I thought Gilbert Davidson, PV town manager wanted us to be in everything. This seems “lo-cost” or no cost to residents and providing a service so what’s the problem?
