Late Friday night, CAFMA and Prescott crews responded to a fire at U Pick It on Valley Road in Prescott Valley. Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from several large scrap piles, along with equipment and conveyor belts.
The fire required an extensive overhaul process to locate and extinguish any hidden hot spots, preventing rekindling. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
