The Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority (CAFMA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dustin Parra to the position of Deputy Chief of Operations. Chief Parra brings 16 years of exceptional experience in the Fire Service to the role.
Chief Parra began his career as a reserve firefighter with the Chino Valley Fire District before joining the Central Yavapai Fire District as a full-time firefighter. Rising through the ranks to become Training Chief for CAFMA, he has consistently shown devotion to the communities he serves.
Most recently, Chief Parra served as CAFMA’s Accreditation Manager, where he was responsible for leading and organizing the application process, liaising with employees and the accrediting body, and ensuring the accuracy of all documentation to maintain high service standards and improve community trust.
Chief Parra is enthusiastic about his new role as Deputy Chief of Operations, emphasizing his commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and advancing training and development initiatives. He looks forward to the opportunity to further contribute to the team and drive CAFMA’s mission forward.
“I’m excited to collaborate with other departments and community organizations to uphold CAFMA’s commitment to excellence,” said Chief Parra. “CAFMA is my home, and I’m dedicated to strengthening its service to the community.”
Under the direction of Interim Fire Chief John Feddema, Chief Parra will lead a team of seasoned Battalion Chiefs, and CAFMA is confident in his ability to advance the organization’s goals while upholding the exceptional quality of service that defines CAFMA,
