“There is no short cut to achievement. Life requires thorough preparation – veneer isn’t worth anything.” – George Washington Carver
There is such a stark contrast between the candidates in this year’s presidential election, that it would be hard to find a larger chasm looking back to the birth of our country. The last half century or so, the Democrats have offered political platforms and policies that seemed to copy the socialist lite, welfare state policies of Western Europe. Obama changed all that with his “hope and change” and an agenda that really did “fundamentally change” the Democrat party and moved the country in a far left direction.
Democrat politics, being what they are, always seem to lack specificity. The obvious reason is to confuse the voters, scramble the issues and lie about their goals. There is a quote often attributed to Karl Marx or Joseph Goebbels – “Accuse your enemy of what you are doing, as you are doing it to create confusion.” It doesn’t matter who actually made the statement, this is a tactic the Democrats use often.
The Democrats charge Trump with wanting to “destroy our democracy”, yet they are the ones who are running a presidential candidate who has not received a single vote in the primaries. Kamala Harris says Donald Trump wants to destroy the Constitution, but it is she, and the Democrats, who want to censure anything they deem to be “hate speech” or “disinformation” and they’ve done it in past elections.
The divide between the candidates is enormous. Kamala Harris is the first DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) person to be elected to Vice President. She was not picked by Joe Biden to be his Vice President because of her qualifications, which are, at best, minimal. She was picked because of her gender and the color of her skin. DEI is what the Peter Principle, (where people are promoted to their level of incompetency), would look like when the only qualification for advancement are gender, pigment or sexual preference or perversion. As Vice President, Kamala proved that she has progressed several levels above her competence.
Her meteoric rise in California state government was boosted by being the girlfriend of a powerful Democrat leader, Willie Brown. Brown helped Kamala with jobs, appointments and elections. There is no telling how many more qualified women, or men for that matter, were passed over because they weren’t friends, with benefits, with Willie Brown.
On the Republican side there is Donald Trump. Trump says that he started off in business with a small one million dollar loan from his father. Others claim that his father loaned him four hundred million dollars. Either way, he parlayed a small, localized construction company into a multi-billion dollar, international conglomerate. He has his hands in construction, real estate, entertainment and other money making ventures.
When he was President, the economy was booming. Inflation was less than two percent. Real wages for American workers were rising. The borders were more secure. Our military was strong and there was peace in the world.
Since Kamala Harris has become Vice President, the economy is stagnant. Inflation is rampant. Our borders are wide open. Real wages are falling. Our military is challenged almost daily and the world seems to be on the brink of a world war. The choice is clear, vote for an accomplished leader or a DEI incompetent, who checks all the woke boxes.

As usual, great article Buz. Nice to read an article that says it like it is. Tomorrow we will see the flood gates open and all of the silent Republican voters will show their feelings. Thanks again.
