CAFMA Firefighters Extinguish House Fire in the Prescott Country Club

At approximately 5:15 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2024, firefighters from Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority (CAFMA) responded to an attic fire that had extended into a residence in the Prescott Country Club area of Dewey-Humboldt, Arizona.

Thanks to the swift actions of the crews, the fire was rapidly contained, preventing further spread and successfully protecting two nearby structures.

Fortunately, the homeowners were not present at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported. Firefighters were able to save several items of personal importance to the homeowners, providing some relief in the wake of the event. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

CAFMA sincerely thanks the vigilant individuals who promptly called 9-1-1, enabling emergency crews to respond swiftly and effectively. CAFMA urges everyone: If you notice unusual smoke or flames, do not hesitate—call 9-1-1 immediately.

CAFMA is grateful to their partners who assisted in this response, including APS, Prescott Fire Department, Priority Ambulance, Town of Dewey-Humboldt, Unisource, and the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office. A special thanks to the Prescott Fire Department for going above and beyond in assisting on scene, and to Priority Ambulance for providing food to support emergency crews during the operation.
