Diversity, Equity and Inclusion – The Essence of Racism – Buz Blog

Kamala Harris is heralded in the fawning leftist press as the “first” in many categories: first female Vice President, first black Vice President, first black female Vice President, first black female Presidential candidate on a major political party ticket, and on and on. As historic as some people think these positions are, they are not accomplishments. She was put into the Vice Presidency, not because of any achievements as a District Attorney, as California Attorney General or as a United States Senator. Kamala Harris was named as Joe Biden’s Vice-Presidential candidate only because she was a black female.

Everyone across the political spectrum would agree that denying anyone a job or a house because of that person’s race or sex is blatant racist, sexist discrimination. On the other hand, giving or offering someone a job because of that person’s race or sex is just as obvious bias discrimination. Yet, the progressive left does not see that as racist or sexist. They see it as fulfillment of their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) agenda. Experience, achievement, skill, desire, or intelligence are of much less importance, if any, to these leftists, than if the prospect checks the boxes of race, sex or sexual preference.

Continuing with their woke, racist, sexist programs, the definitions of the words in DEI are restricted to their collectivist views. Diversity, to the progressives, only means diversity of gender, race, and/or sexual preference. It definitely does not mean diversity of thought, political leanings or religion. The person chosen by the Democrat/progressive/leftist cabal will not be a conservative, a practicing Christian or Jew or a straight White man.

When the wokesters try to explain Equity, there is some confusion. Generally, they mean equal results. So, if blacks are 13% of the population, Hispanics are 20% of the population, and women are 50.5% of the population, then these extremists believe that any group, (police, judges, engineers or whatever group, take your pick), should be populated by 13% blacks, 20% Hispanic and 50.5% women, regardless of ability. The confusion enters the picture when the very far leftists want to raise the percentage of these groups to make up for what they say are “past inequities” or “White privilege”.

Inclusion is their next requirement and goes beyond the realm of sanity. They want to include every ding dong who uses whacky pronouns to identify themselves, every off center individual who claims to be one of their 72 or so other sexes except for male or female, and any other tinfoil hat wearing person who identifies as an animal, space alien or insect.

All DEI is intended to do is to divide us as a people, destroy thousands of years of rational thinking and erase centuries of Western Civilization. The simple truth is that DEI is reverse discrimination at its worse. It is pure fallacy to think that the best way to fight racism and sexism is by oppressing others. The best way is to hire, promote and retain people through a merit based system. In other words, the best individual gets the job, regardless of race or sex.
