City of Prescott’s Annual Drinking Water Quality Report for 2023 now Available Online

The Annual Drinking Water Quality Report for Reporting Year 2023 is now available online.

The Water Quality Report is a comprehensive report issued by the City of Prescott Water Operations Division. This annual report identifies the sources of Prescott’s drinking water, provides water quality information, and summarizes analytical tests of the City’s drinking water supply for the calendar year 2023. During 2023, water from the City system met all applicable federal and state drinking water health standards.

In support of City efforts to be fiscally responsible and conserve natural resources, this report is being delivered primarily through electronic distribution methods.

Limited hard copies of the report will be available at the Prescott Public Library, located at 215 E. Goodwin Street and City Hall, located at 201 S. Cortez St and 201 N Montezuma St., 3rd Floor beginning July 1, 2023.

To request a hard copy of this report, contact Water Operations at (928) 777-1118 or email your request to water.operations@prescott-az.gov.

  1. Of course water quality is very important. However, the ability to provide safe water to our doubling the population and still growing fast brings up the point; where will our water come from? In 2000 the Prescott Active Management Area (PrAMA) was using 55,000 homes worth of water MORE than Nature was providing us as rain-snow. Now, Nature is giving us less; 22% less and our area has more than doubled in 22 years with Prescott Valley being the worst denier of our ground water problem. Support conservation and encouraging far less growth. We do NOT have the water!

  2. I totally agree with you Tom, the growth in Prescott has gotten completely out of control and there is not enough water. But it seems like our wonderful city councilmen are in agreement that money is more important than water. Our roads can’t handle the influx of cars, like you said, there is not enough water and that will only get worse with climate change and population. But what can us small guys do? We all know and see how our town is being destroyed by bad decision makers. Like all of the illegals and our open borders, it’s too late to close the barn door because all of the horses are out. Building, building, and more building going on each and every day. Maybe it’s time to just stop fitting and move.
