The Central Yavapai Metropolitan Planning Organization (CYMPO) is actively seeking public participation for the Central Yavapai Active Community Transportation-Unified Plan (ACT-UP), the first active transportation plan in the region. Residents and visitors within the region are encouraged to complete a brief survey to help CYMPO better understand your walking and bicycling challenges and identify opportunities for non-motorized transportation improvements in the region. Results of this survey will help define future active transportation options in the Central Yavapai region.
Residents and visitors interested in participating can complete the online survey at: www.cympo.org/ACTUP or contact CYMPO staff for more information on how to get involved.
You can also follow ACT-UP on Instagram at: CentralYavapai_ActUP

Most residents of Prescott Valley, Prescott, Chino Valley, parts of Yavapai County and the Prescott-Yavapai Tribal lands don’t realize each entity sends representatives to be unelected members of CYMPO which is funded by; yea; us. It “plans” for government projects outside our elected councils and presents the projects back to us. Prescott Valley has a very well done system of walking riding paths but lacks walking or bike riding along most “all” streets. Most streets have ditches in place of walk ways and people must be ready to jump-fall into a ditch on occasion when cars come by. We don’t need a CYMPO to tells what we already know more about then they do. Save the money; close CAMPO.
Not real clear how to get on the survey. I have 2 ideas in addition to the ones I already have submitted. Prescott and surrounding communities are really behind the times. Flagstaff has 60 MILES of paved bike/hike trails. Cour De Lane, ID has 75 miles of paved trails. Mountian bikes are not the only bikes they make.
Second item is that Route 169 is a total death trap. Should be made into a 4 lane road with limited access.
