Brooks Compton has announced his candidacy for the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors, representing District 1. A single father with deep family roots in Yavapai county, Brooks is a small business owner and entrepreneur who lives in Prescott. An engineer by trade, Brooks also holds several automotive transmission patents.
Brooks is a well-recognized member of the community, whose base is the citizens and small business owners of the county, rather than outside developers or special interest groups. He is running because he feels called to serve the community he loves.
Brooks recounted, “I grew up in a rural community riding horses and bicycles with my friends after school, with a promise to my mom to be home when the street lights came on. I watched developers alongside their puppet politicians, destroy that idyllic community thanks to a lack of planning and an insatiable desire for growth. We need to protect Yavapai County from that sort of mismanagement and ensure that our future growth respects our limited natural resources, and protects what makes the County such a special place to live.”
Brooks is a long-established Republican with a track record of standing on principle, public-service, and loyalty to his faith, family and country, and Brooks is ready to serve us full time. He promises to earn the trust of all residents of Yavapai County who have worked hard in pursuit of the American dream, safeguard them from out-of-control growth and excessive property taxes, and preserve our dwindling water resources.
