Whatever you want to call them, the mainstream media, legacy or corporate press, the public has a decided lack of trust in their reporting. The reasons are obvious. They have either outright lied or slanted so many news stories that even ten columns could not cover them adequately. Many of their false claims surround Donald Trump. Whether it’s the alleged “pee” tape about Trump that never existed or his collusion with Russians, the Steele Dossier, that he called Neo-Nazis fine people, that he stored nuclear secrets at Mar-a-Lago, that Trump mocked a disabled reporter or he built cages for illegal immigrant children, the major news organizations reported these lies as facts or almost certainly true allegations.

If those were the only falsehoods the media pushed, they could be attributed to “Trump derangement syndrome”. But in the almost year period of “Do you believe me or your lying eyes”, the lame stream media showed cities burning, rampant vandalism, theft and destruction by BLM and Antifa, the media giants were telling us these were “mostly peaceful” demonstrations. Prior to that the leftist press demonized Nicholas Sandmann and Covington Catholic High School for allegedly harassing an American Indian veteran. That story was proved false when Sandmann sued CNN and the Washington Post and both so-called news organizations settled the $250 million suit for an undisclosed amount.

There are so many other stories that the woke press focused on that proved to be untrue. Here’s a partial list: the Jussie Smollett hoax, the Hunter Biden laptop Russian disinformation lie, the Justice Kavanaugh rape fraud, Ivermectin was not meant for humans, the Mounted Boarder Patrol officers whipping illegal immigrants, the falsehood that Capitol police officer Sicknick was murdered by protesters and that January 6 was an insurrection. The left leaning corporate media not only reported these prevarications, they continued to promote them for days, weeks and months. Once these fraudulent stories were proved false, the media rarely admitted they were mistaken, or did so one time and never brought it up again.

Should anyone be laboring under the delusion that the leftist news organizations have, through the sheer embarrassment of being caught lying so many times, changed their slanted reporting, they would be sadly mistaken. All anyone would have to do is examine the latest untruth promoted by the corporate media. Last week, Texas Governor Abbott deployed National Guardsmen at the Texas/Mexico border to staunch the flow of illegal immigrants.

The Texas National Guard replaced the Border Patrol and other federal officials in a 2 mile area and wouldn’t let the feds in that area. A woman and two children drowned trying to cross into the US in that sector. Major legacy news organizations reported that the Texas National Guard refused to let agents from Border Patrol into the area to rescue the immigrants. The reality came out that the drownings had occurred a full hour before they were reported to the Border Patrol, making it impossible that the Border Patrol could have attempted a rescue. Some of the news agencies that reported this, walked back the story. Some are sticking with the story regardless of the truth being reported.

One would hardly think things could get worse or that the public opinion of these alleged news organizations could go lower. Then last Monday, Donald Trump won an historic election in the Republican Iowa caucuses. When Trump was giving his victory speech, MSNBC refused to air it, because, according to Rachel Maddow, MSNBC has a policy of “not giving an unfiltered live platform to former President Trump,” She basically called Trump a liar and MSNBC didn’t knowingly broadcast untrue statements. Maddow is basically stating that we, the public, aren’t bright enough to decide for ourselves if Trump is lying or not, so MSNBC won’t even let us see his speech.

On CNN’s election coverage, after airing the first nine minute of Trump’s Victory speech, Jake Tapper interrupted it when he said Trump was “repeating his anti immigrant rhetoric”. Tapper couldn’t let us determine for ourselves if Trump’s words were anti immigrant.

When a dishonest media continues to lie and slant the news to the public, is it any wonder that the people have no trust in their reporting?
