The Prescott Valley Community Services Department wishes to notify the public that, due to issues with the dam, the East lake at The Urban Forest/Yavapai Lakes will undergo drainage. This essential measure is required to seal and repair sections of the dam currently experiencing leaks.
On This Day in History — 1794
The upper West Lake will remain accessible for fishing during this period.
Repair activities are anticipated to occur from January to February, to have the lake fully restored and available for fishing by March. Drainage efforts are scheduled to commence on December 26, and we kindly request the public’s cooperation in refraining from entering the drained lakebed while the park remains open for use.
