MATFORCE, a primary prevention organization with the goal of supporting treatment and recovery of substance abuse, invites you to attend the 20th annual Prescott Recovery Celebration on Saturday, September 23rd in celebration of Recovery Month.
Recovery Month spreads the message that people can and do recover from substance use disorders every day. Through Recovery Month, people become more aware and able to recognize the signs of mental health and substance use disorders and encourages people in need of recovery services to seek help.
Join MATFORCE, Oxford House, Prescott Sober Living, and Royal Life Centers at the annual Recovery Celebration being held on Saturday, September 23rd from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Prescott Unified School District office located at 300 E. Gurley Street. Free food and children’s activities, community resource booths, testimonies from people in recovery, artwork, live music, and more will be available.

MATFORCE is a community organization that educates and raises awareness about substance abuse issues, and advocates for policy change throughout Yavapai County. With over 300 active volunteers, MATFORCE encompasses the belief that stopping drug use before it starts through primary prevention strategies is an essential part of building healthier communities. Programs of MATFORCE include drug prevention education in the schools, the Yavapai Reentry Project, Trauma Lens Care, public awareness and education campaigns, and advocating for policy change at the state and local level.

“All” sales taxes collected from narcotics sales should be directed to these recovery programs. We all know of grand parents who have adopted or are caring for children who have been hurt by parental drug use.
