OneAZ Awards $100,000 in Grants to 20 Prescott-area Nonprofits

Prescott Grants Are Part of a Record-Breaking Year for OneAZ Giving

OneAZ Credit Union is excited to award $100,000 in grants to 20 Prescott-area nonprofit organizations as part of its Community Impact Grant program. Each organization will receive $5,000 towards a program or initiative that supports one of OneAZ’s Five Pillars – Children’s Health, Food Banks, Financial Education, Veterans’ Interests, and Local Youth Programs.

“OneAZ is thrilled to support our Northern Arizona community partners with our largest Community Impact Grant giving ever,” said Brandon Michaels, OneAZ President & CEO. “Our Community Impact Grant program is one of the most powerful ways we can impact lives in the communities we serve. We’re proud to help these organizations make meaningful changes that improve lives at a grassroots level. The only reason we’re able to give back at such a tremendous rate is because of our membership. Together, they’re helping us build a brighter future for all Arizonans.”

Prescott Area Shelter Services is just one of the Prescott-based non-profit organizations that have received a 2023 Community Impact Grant. The $5,000 Community Impact Grant will help with supportive programs.

“Prescott Area Shelter Services is grateful to have the support of OneAZ Foundation,” said Katee Norris, Director of Programs for Prescott Area Shelter Services. “The grant awarded to PASS will allow us to not only serve, but offer supportive programs, to the children we serve at both our emergency shelter and transitional houses. OneAZ Community Foundation supports the communities where they are located, working to make it better for everyone; thank you!”

2023 marks a record-breaking year for the OneAZ Community Foundation’s Community Impact Grant Program. This year, OneAZ is providing $330,000 in Community Impact Grants to 66 Arizona nonprofit organizations. Since 2016, the OneAZ Community Foundation has supported 125 Prescott-area nonprofits with $347,500 in donations.

That support includes two Legacy Grants totaling nearly $75,000, awarded to two Prescott nonprofit organizations in 2022 – Prescott YMCA and Prescott Unified School District Education Foundation.

Funding for the OneAZ Community Foundation is made possible in large part due to OneAZ members’ debit card usage. Each time a member uses their OneAZ debit card for a purchase, OneAZ donates one-cent to the Foundation. This means that Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley and Cottonwood members were directly responsible for helping OneAZ to support the organizations that have received donations.

Below is a list of the Prescott-area organizations that will receive a 2023 Community Impact Grant:
