It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of retired LBPD Detective John Henry Miller.
John passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the age of 87. John was hired by the Long Beach Police Department on November 16, 1964 and retired on July 21, 1989, after 24 years of service.
He was named the Police Officer of the Year in 1987.
