Drug Lab Operation Busted After PANT Detectives Arrest Prescott Man

On March 12, 2021, The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office’s Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking (P.A.N.T) arrested 52-year-old James Flint of Prescott and dismantled his massive methamphetamine operation. He has since been released on a $25,000 bond.

A tip launched a three-week investigation into Flint and revealed he was having large amounts of chemical supplies and equipment shipped from Slovakia to his apartment near the 100 block of N Cortez Street in Prescott. The types of chemicals he used are chemicals needed to produce methamphetamine. In addition, steroid pills were also found at his apartment. Investigators believe the Flint’s lab was extremely advanced and significant knowledge about chemistry is required to set up the type of lab that was discovered inside his apartment. Detectives served a search warrant Friday evening and found multiple ingredients necessary to manufacture dangerous drugs, including meth.

“You don’t have to have an understanding of chemistry to know how harmful meth is. It is a toxic drug that’s killing people across America every single day. We are doing everything we can to crack down on the people who pollute our streets,” said Sheriff David Rhodes, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office. “Our PANT investigators never stop working. The work they do is making a difference and I can’t thank them enough.”

Flint is being charged with multiple drug charges to include Import of dangerous drugs, possession of dangerous drugs, manufacture dangerous drug, and possession of precursor chemicals.

Arizona Department of Public Safety, Prescott Fire Hazmat Team, and the DEA’s lab team assisted P.A.N.T in processing the scene.
