Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle on Sheldon Street

On January 14, 2021 at about 12:12 pm the Prescott Police Department responded to a single vehicle traffic crash involving a pedestrian who was struck on Sheldon Street at Pleasant Street.  Upon arrival officers found that a 75 year old female resident of Prescott was walking, with the walk sign illuminated, in the crosswalk on Pleasant Street at Sheldon Street when she was stuck by a Toyota Corolla driven by a 78 year old male subject from Prescott Valley.

Emergency medical personnel were on scene treating the victim who was alert but suffering from a head injury.  She was later ground transported to a local hospital and then airlifted to a valley hospital for treatment.  Her condition is unknown at this time.  The driver of the Toyota was issued a civil traffic citation in relation to the crash; impairment was not a factor in this crash.

Sheldon Street was limited to one lane of travel in each direction for a short period of time while officers and EMS were on scene conducting their investigation and treating the victim.
