Brooks Compton, Candidate for PUSD : VOTE FOR CHANGE!

Parents all over the country are waking up to the reality that our children’s schools are not the safe place we thought they were, or wanted them to be. Many of them are physically unsafe places to be, particularly in major cities where liberal policies have destroyed the traditional family unit, and a variety of crimes go largely unpunished. Too many others are unsafe when it comes to the education and moral upbringing of our kids.

We pack school lunches in the morning and send them off to learn how to read and write, to learn mathematics, to read classical literature and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them, to learn our country’s history, and the history of the world we inhabit.

Yet when they get to school, many of these necessities are ignored, while instead they are indoctrinated into liberal and often anti-American beliefs and values, they are targeted and groomed for gender confusion, they are coached on the superiority of immorality over morality, and they are taught to hate their country and despise its values.

I was one of those parents who was woken up to this new reality when my kid brought home assignments that were pushing the critical race theory (CRT) curriculum. I was one of those parents you hear about who tries to talk to school administrators and board members and gets the runaround. And I became one of those parents that you hear about who realizes they have to step up and tackle the problem directly, otherwise no one else will.

Running for school board has been an amazing experience and standing up for the truth has made me a remarkable number of both friends and enemies. What has been both inspiring and heartbreaking is the amount of communication I receive from teachers and district employees, who desperately want to be able to tell someone the truth about what is going on, but who fear retaliation from school district officials that are pursuing their own agenda.

Prescott is a wonderful city filled with wonderful people, but all is not well in our schools. As I write this the ballots for November’s election are going out, and this is our chance to start fixing the problems, protecting our kids, and strengthening our community.

The education establishment is afraid of us because they have thrived for years without having to be accountable to the parents of Prescott.  They will fight hard to stop us, they will lie, they will bend the rules, and they will not give up until the bitter end.  Whether you have kids or not, this is your fight!  I’ll see each and every one of you at the polls!

  1. My mother used to say that people only get mad at you when what you are saying is true. There parts of CRT that are true hence the anger.
