Yavapai County Announces Free Flood Debris Disposal and Waiver of Demolition Permit Fees

Following severe heavy rainfall and widespread flooding that began on November 1, 2026, the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors officially declared a county emergency and announced temporary relief measures for affected residents.

Under a proclamation signed by Board of Supervisors Chair L.B. Compton, the County will offer free flood debris disposal at all county transfer stations from November 4th through November 30, 2026, and a waiver of demolition permit fees for flood-impacted structures to support community recovery efforts.

“Our primary focus is providing immediate support to our residents as they clean up and rebuild,” said the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors Chair Brooks Compton. “Offering free debris disposal and demolition permits ensures our communities can recover safely and efficiently without added financial burden.”
