Prescott Chorale Announces 2026–2027 Season Under New Artistic Director Danya Tiller

Prescott Chorale is welcoming a new chapter in its history with the announcement of its 2026–2027 season and the arrival of new Artistic Director Danya Tiller.

Tiller brings more than two decades of experience as a conductor, educator and professional vocalist to the Prescott Chorale. She has conducted and taught choirs of all ages and levels, served as Artistic Director of the Phoenix Girls Chorus for 10 years, and has both sung and conducted professional, community and educational ensembles throughout Arizona and across the country. She has also served as a conductor and clinician for workshops and honor choirs nationwide and made her conducting debut at Carnegie Hall in 2016.

Now, Tiller brings her extensive musical experience and passion for choral performance to Prescott as the Chorale begins its 2026–2027 season.

“This season offers an exciting opportunity to experience the extraordinary range of choral music,” said Tiller. “From the powerful music of Haydn to the beauty of Christmas traditions from around the world, and from Renaissance-era songs to the remarkable combination of choir and four-hand piano, there is something for every music lover. I am thrilled to begin this journey with the singers of the Prescott Chorale and with audiences throughout our community.”

The 2026–2027 season features three main concerts, plus a new holiday dining and performance experience.

A Mass for Troubled Times

Saturday, September 26, 2026 | 3 p.m.
Ruth Street Theater

The season opens with Joseph Haydn’s powerful and beloved Lord Nelson Mass, a work filled with musical intensity, drama and emotional depth.

Performed using Haydn’s original scoring for orchestra, the concert brings together the full Prescott Chorale, orchestra and four featured soloists for what promises to be a fiery and compelling performance.

The work’s themes of uncertainty, struggle and hope remain remarkably resonant today, making it a fitting centerpiece for the beginning of a new season and a new era for the Chorale.

Renaissance Christmas Feast and Song — NEW!

Friday, December 4, 2026 | 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Capital Canyon Club

Prescott Chorale is introducing a new holiday event this season with Renaissance Christmas Feast and Song, hosted by the Capital Canyon Club.

Guests will step back into the holiday traditions of old Europe for an authentic dinner and musical experience featuring lively Christmas carols and songs dating as far back as the 13th century. Chorale singers will perform in Renaissance costume, and guests are encouraged to join in the spirit of the evening by dressing in period attire themselves.

This special event combines music, history, food and festive celebration for a holiday experience unlike a traditional concert. Additional details will be announced by Prescott Chorale.

World of Carols

Saturday, December 5, 2026 | 3 p.m.
St. Luke’s Episcopal Church

The holiday season continues with World of Carols, a celebration of Christmas music drawn from cultures and languages around the globe.

The program will feature beautiful and familiar carols from many corners of the world, highlighting the ways music can connect people across cultures and traditions. Special musical guests will join the Chorale, and audiences can enjoy cocoa and cookies as part of the festive afternoon.

Chorale Plus Four

Saturday, May 8, 2027 | 3 p.m.
Ruth Street Theater

The season concludes with Chorale Plus Four, featuring the full Prescott Chorale performing music by Johannes Brahms and Aaron Copland, accompanied by two pianists.

The works featured in the program use four-hand piano accompaniment, with two performers sharing a single piano. The result creates a rich, expansive sound that provides a unique musical foundation for the full choir.

The concert promises to be a fitting finale to a season celebrating both the timeless tradition and continuing evolution of choral music.

Season Tickets Now Available

Audiences are invited to experience the 2026–2027 season with Prescott Chorale season tickets, offering admission to the three primary concert performances at a savings over individual ticket prices.

Season tickets are $90 for adults. Individual concert tickets are $35 for adults and $10 for students ages 19–22, with free admission for youth 18 and under.
