Chandler Man Evades Police Which Results in a Traffic Collision – Prescott Police Department

On September 3, 2026, at about 12:27 am, a black Nissan Altima driven by 25-year-old Chandler, AZ resident, Cheyenne Taylor Hudson Kincheenie, was seen by a Prescott Police officer leaving a parking lot of a bar located in the 800 block of East Gurley Street. The vehicle was then seen speeding eastbound on Gurley Street traveling at approximately 47 MPH in a posted 30 MPH zone. The officer attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle in the parking lot of a hotel located in the 1300 block of East Gurley, however, the vehicle failed to yield and left the area heading eastbound on Highway 69 at a very high rate of speed.

Officers discontinued the pursuit but continued to search the area for the vehicle.  A short time later the vehicle was found at Lee Blvd and Highway 69 with its lights off. The vehicle again evaded officers and headed westbound on Highway 69, again at a very high rate of speed. The vehicle then entered the same parking lot of the hotel in the 1300 block of East Gurley Street.  Officers again attempted to stop the vehicle, but again the vehicle left the area, eastbound on Highway 69 at a high rate of speed, estimated at over 100 MPH.

The vehicle continued eastbound on Highway 69 when it came to the intersection of Highway 69 and Gateway Blvd. The vehicle then struck a construction truck that was in the roadway with its warning lights on. The suspect vehicle flipped and rolled off the roadway, ejecting Kincheenie from the vehicle who was then pinned underneath the vehicle. The Prescott Fire Department responded to the scene and were able to free Kincheenie who was then flown to a Phoenix area hospital where he underwent surgery and is said to be in stable condition.  The driver of the construction vehicle was not injured.

The Prescott Police Department Traffic Safety Section responded to the scene to conduct the accident investigation. Eastbound lanes of Highway 69 were shut down until 5:30 am at which time the investigation was completed and the highway was reopened.

Charges against Kencheenie are pending the outcome of the investigation to include blood results.
