Red, White & Brew Raises $2,600 for the Eric Marsh Foundation for Wildland Firefighters

Red, White & Brew guests rallied behind Arizona’s wildland firefighters this summer, raising a total of $2,600 for the Eric Marsh Foundation for Wildland Firefighters during a monthlong fundraiser held throughout June at the restaurant’s Mesa and Prescott locations.

The campaign honored the legacy of the Granite Mountain Hotshots while supporting the foundation’s mission to provide financial assistance, mental health resources and other support for wildland firefighters and their families.

Guests contributed through several fundraising efforts, including $1 from every special Hot Shot Burger sold, $1 from each featured local beer pint, and voluntary round-up donations at checkout. The total included $1,823 raised through sales, along with $777 donated through the register round-up campaign.

“Being part of the Prescott community for the past five years has brought us closer to the people and causes that matter most here,” said Jimmy Herrera, co-owner of Red, White & Brew. “We know how much the Eric Marsh Foundation means to this community, and we’re honored to support its important work on behalf of wildland firefighters and their families.”

The fundraiser took place during the anniversary month of the Yarnell Hill Fire, which claimed the lives of 19 members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots on June 30, 2013. The Eric Marsh Foundation for Wildland Firefighters was established by Amanda Marsh, in memory of her late husband and Granite Mountain Hotshots Superintendent Eric Marsh, and works to assist wildland firefighters and their families through financial assistance, behavioral health resources, scholarships and community support.

Red, White & Brew has a long history of supporting Arizona nonprofits and local causes through fundraising events and charitable partnerships that strengthen the communities it serves.
