“Our Constitution isn’t the Government telling the people what their privileges are: Our Constitution is we the people telling the Government what it can do.” – Ronald Reagan
There are candidates who are winning in Democrat primary elections, who want to defund the police, abolish prisons and ICE. These are the Democrats who want to allow illegal aliens, who can’t read English, to vote and drive 12 ton semi-trucks into Americans. They want a government to take over the means of production from private companies. They want to subvert the Constitution by getting rid of the Senate and the Supreme Court and a president elected through our Constitutional electoral college.
These are the tenets of international communism. In our country they are camouflaging themselves as “Democratic Socialists”. They use that term because they know that low intellect and low propensity voters believe that if a political party has the word “democratic” in its name, it must be a party that will improve our country through democratic policies.
These socialist/communists use that name because they can mask their true intentions. They can trick many of the ignorant into voting for what will eventually become a “dictatorship of the proletariat”. In reality, that means that power is held in the hands of a few elites in the communist party. It is a bittersweet irony, this is a textbook definition of the oligarchy they rant against.
Should any of these communists get elected in the general midterm election, it is truly the ultimate hypocrisy that they have to swear an oath of office which reads:
“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”
These social democrat communists have already openly stated that the policies they want to put into effect are openly counter Constitutional. Since they have no belief in a Creator, swearing to God is meaningless to them. Those radical communists who take this oath are, frankly committing perjury.
It seems unreasonable that the leaders in Congress could vote to seat such people, who have candidly stated their opposition to our Constitution and our country. I believe, though, that the courts have ruled that a candidate’s statements cannot be used as a reason to prevent them from taking a seat in the House or the Senate, if they were elected by the people.
On the other hand, in 1949, Associate Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson, in his dissenting opinion in the Terminiello case, wrote: “The Constitution is not a suicide pact.” Since Justice Jackson had been a prosecutor at the Nuremberg Trials, his insight was, no doubt, based on his experience with totalitarian officials. Free speech is, and should be, protected by the First Amendment. Actions, however, are a different matter. If any of these elected communist/socialists commits any act that is evidence that their oath of office was violated, they need to be expelled from Congress.
Those who know history know the correctness of the political adage: “You can vote your way into socialism, but you have to shoot your way out.” If we can slow and prevent the election of these communist/socialist, we won’t have to shoot our way out of an oppressive tyranny.
