Pine Ridge Marketplace is welcoming a unique new tenant with the opening of WineNBind, a veteran-owned creative studio offering hands-on bookbinding workshops, custom creations and personalized engraving services. WineNBind officially opened July 15 in Suite 206 (3250 Gateway Blvd.)
Founded by Army veteran and Prescott resident Alan Cheung, WineNBind brings a first-of-its-kind concept to the community by combining the art of bookbinding with the relaxed, social atmosphere of a sip-and-create experience.
“I began bookbinding as a hobby inspired by my wife’s love of reading, and I quickly realized there was a strong community of readers in Prescott who would enjoy learning the craft,” said Cheung. “WineNBind is here to provide a unique experience where people can gather, create something meaningful and discover the art of bookbinding in what we believe is the nation’s first studio dedicated primarily to recreational Bookbinding.”
During workshops, guests are guided step-by-step through the process of transforming softcover books into custom personalized one-of-a-kind hardbacks in a welcoming, social environment. Designed for all skill levels, the classes provide a creative and accessible activity for individuals, friends and families looking for new ways to unwind.
In addition, WineNBind offers book-themed gifts and accessories, and on-site engraving. Using UV laser technology, guests can personalize a wide range of items, including books, glassware, jewelry, leather goods and other keepsakes, with many projects completed within a few minutes.
“WineNBind brings an exciting and innovative experience to the mall,” said Anji Rude, Pine Ridge Marketplace creative director. “We’re thrilled to welcome this veteran-owned business and offer our visitors another opportunity to connect, create and support local entrepreneurs who are bringing something new and distinctive to the Prescott community.”
