Prescott Farmers Market is offering a new way to experience Saturday mornings at the market: the Market Food Tour, a guided tasting walk that turns the market into a morning-long tasting menu. The next tour is Saturday, July 18, with additional dates on August 15 and October 31.
Over about two hours, guests taste their way through eight to 10 vendors, meeting the farmers and makers behind the food along the way. The morning starts at 7:15am with a hot beverage and a quick market introduction, then moves from booth to booth for fresh produce, small-batch goods, and something sweet to finish.

Guests also visit program booths like Prescott Community Compost and Feed Your Neighbors and meet some of the market’s non-food vendors. Guests receive an insulated tote to help carry leftovers and the rest of their market haul home.
Tours are capped at 12 people so the experience stays personal and relaxed. Tickets are $99 and include a $35 donation to Prescott Farmers Market, which is eligible for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit. That support helps sustain the organization’s programs year-round, from the Saturday market and Feed Your Neighbors, to Prescott Community Compost and NoCo Community Kitchen.
“So many people walk the market every Saturday and still don’t realize everything that’s here,” says Kathleen Yetman, executive director of the market. “The tour slows things down and lets you discover vendors you might have walked past, taste before you buy, and get to know the farmers and makers face to face. It’s the tastiest way to fall in love with the market.”
Guests should wear comfortable shoes, bring an appetite, and dress for the weather since the tour runs rain or shine. The market meets at the Dignity Health, YRMC parking lot, 900 Iron Springs Rd., Prescott, AZ 86305.
