LD1 Candidate Shawn Dell Wildman To Speak In Chino Valley

The local chapter  of Yavapai County’s Conservatives For A Constitutional Republic (ConCR) has announced that Shawn Dell Wildman, Republican Candidate for LD1 State Representative will speak at their next meeting,  Saturday, June 27, in Chino Valley. Also speaking will be County Supervisor for District 4, Chris Kuknyo. ConCR meets monthly at the Bible Baptist Church in Chino Valley at 11:00am. Seating is limited and RSVP’s are requested at  concr2018@gmail.com.

Shawn Dell Wildman is a Republican candidate for one of LD1’s two seats in the Arizona House of Representatives. She is a staunch conservative and supporter of President Trump and LD1’s Trump endorsed State Senator,  Mark Finchem, who is running unopposed for a second term.

In the 2024 election cycle, in her first run for political office, Ms. Wildman impressed local political observers by winning over 14,000 votes in the Republican primary, in spite of a late start and delays in qualifying for clean election funding. The result was widely interpreted as a reflection of the desire for change in the LD1 delegation among conservative voters.

In 2024 Ms. Wildman was a political unknown. In the current election, she is an experienced candidate with a conservative base and strong name recognition among a broad swath of Republican voters. The perception of personality conflicts and dysfunction within the current LD1 delegation appear to be a driving force in Ms. Wildman’s current campaign.

Shawn Dell Wildman is a native Texan who moved to Arizona in 1981 following her marriage. She was a stay at home mom who home schooled her three children.  Her family has lived in Yavapai County since 1994 where she and her husband, Owen, have run several businesses including the sales and servicing of firearms as a Federal Firearms Licensee. More recently,  they have owned and operated a printing company that provides marketing and advertising for small businesses.

Ms. Wildman describes herself as a person of deep religious faith and strongly held conservative values. She has stated her top priorities as a legislator will be to heal the rift in the LD1 delegation and work closely with Senator Finchem to protect the interests of Yavapai County. Other priorities include election integrity, school choice, court reform and parental rights.

Also speaking at Saturday’s meeting will be County Supervisor Chris Kuknyo. Mr. Kuknyo was elected in 2024 to represent the sprawling District 4 which encompasses a broad section of Williamson Valley and the northern reaches of Yavapai County including Chino Valley, Paulden and Ash Fork. Before joining the county Board, Mr. Kuknyo served on the Prescott City Council and the Yavapai College District Governing Board. He is a graduate of Prescott High school and a long time resident of the Prescott area.

Before entering public life Mr. Kuknyo was a small businessman who became one of the founders and managers of Patriot Disposal. In recent years he has worked in the real estate industry and involved himself with civic affairs through the  Republican Men’s Forum and as a former President of the Citizens Tax Committee. Mr. Kuynyo is a well-known local personality who is frequently called upon to MC or moderate community events. For many years he hosted a weekly radio program on KYCA.

The Yavapai Chapter of the Conservatives for a Constitutional Republic is a group of conservative activists dedicated to defending and promoting the values of representative government as set forth in the United States Constitution. They are a private organization and not directly affiliated with a political party. However, most of their members are registered Republicans or conservative leaning Independents who are civically engaged or are current or former elected officials or candidates for office.

ConCR meets monthly at the Bible Baptist Church, 3490 N. State Road 89, in Chino Valley. Recent speakers include  Cong. Eli Crane,  Cong Andy Biggs,  Senate President Warren Petersen,  and many other prominent conservative figures and candidates for office.

ConCR is a membership organization. However, in the interest of informing voters about important issues and candidates, the appearances of guest speakers of high public interest are open to the public.  All those wishing to meet LD1 Candidate Shawn Dell Wildman and Supervisor Kuknyo are cordially invited to attend. Time permitting, the speakers will stand for questions. Doors open at 11:00 am. The meeting will begin promptly at 11:15 am. RSVP’s are requested and should be addressed to concr2018@gmail.com.
