Billionaires, Millionaires And Hypocrites – Buz Blog

Hypocrisy can afford to be magnificent in its promises, for never intending to go beyond promise, it costs nothing.” – Edmond Burke

It isn’t easy for those of us who are baby boomers to imagine how much a billion dollars is. One billion dollars has 9 zeros after the 1, meaning that is one thousand times a million dollars. Even considering inflation, that is an enormous amount of money. Leftists, communists, socialists, progressives and the vast majority of Democrat politicians want to attack President Trump for being a billionaire. They accuse the president and his MAGA agenda of trying to create an “oligarchy” run by billionaires. Socialist politician Bernie Sanders used to rant against “millionaires”, but since he is now worth between 2 and 3 million dollars or more, he has upped his anger to rage against billionaires.

He is not the only millionaire to come out forcefully and publicly against billionaires. Traitor, communist Jane Fonda, whose acting career and fitness company has given her an estimated wealth of over $200 million, came out with other rich celebrities with a May Day video hoping to get the “working class” to not shop, go to work and school on the historic communist holiday of May 1. To highlight her hypocrisy even more, she is voicing ads and supporting billionaire Tom Steyer’s candidacy for governor of California.

Another actor on that video is Robert Di Nero. He is worth over half a billion dollars thru acting, his Nobu hospitality empire and real estate investments. While this half a billionaire was urging working class people to not go to work on May 1, he has enough money to never work again. He has enough money to stay at home and have other people shop for him. While Di Nero donates money to refugees and other leftist “charities”, one has to wonder if he has built shelters for the homeless, gathered or bought food for food banks, or sent some of his millions to religious charities or other philanthropic organizations that actually help Americans.

Bette Midler is worth between $250 and $280 million that she earned through her diverse entertainment jobs as a singer, actress and producer. She lives in New York City in an exclusive area on Fifth Avenue. While she didn’t actively support Zoran Mamdani, she has supported many left wing candidates and agendas in the past.

Actor Mark Ruffalo has accumulated wealth of between a modest $ 35 to $ 40 million. He is a vocal anti-Trumper and a supporter of “democratic socialists” and their causes. He was a celebrity champion for Zoran Mamdani for NYC mayor. The nagging question is: will Ruffalo, De Niro and Midler stay in New York City and state if Mamdani and NY Governor Kathy Hochul enact more “tax the rich” policies that will promote more confiscatory money grabs? Or will they follow the smart money to move down to low tax states of Texas and Florida?

A non-celebrity hypocrite is Tom Steyer, the California billionaire candidate for Governor. He is worth almost 2 and a half billion dollars. Steyer made his billions through his hedge fund company. His company made a great deal of money by investing in fossil fuels. They also invested in private prisons. Tom is now a rabid environmentalist and opposes many of the ideas his hedge fund invested in to grow the company’s wealth. His attitude appears to be, “I made my money, now you make yours, but you won’t be able to use the same investments I made, because they are bad for the environment and the country.”

What all these “useful idiots” don’t understand is history. In every country where the policies they now embrace go into effect, the useful idiots are more often than not, the first ones to disappear, get jailed or sentenced to reeducation camps. Hypocrisy has its cost.
