The Folk Sessions Present A Pete Seegar Birthday Celebration at the Elks Performing Arts Center, May 5th

Join us on May 5th at Elks Crystal Hall to celebrate Pete Seeger’s birthday and legacy with Eric Ramsey, Eric Douglas, Tom & Christa Agostino, and a special appearance by the Justice Choir. Tickets are $20. Come ready to sing, sing, sing.

Peter Seeger (May 3, 1919 – Jan 27, 2014) was a legendary American folk singer, songwriter, and activist who inspired the 1960s folk revival. Always holding fiercely to a set of core beliefs, Seeger was blacklisted in the 1950s for his political activities, and is widely appreciated as an American icon.

A member of the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame, Eric Ramsey was the winner of the 2022 Int’l Blues Challenge, Memphis, TN, and three-time champion of the Phoenix Blues Society’s Blues Showdown.

Eric Douglas is an Arizona performing songwriter who combines contemporary folk, classic rock, and Texas country to tell stories of people finding their place in the world…for better or worse.

In 2016, a group of friends and singers came together to form the Justice Choir. The Choir sing songs that speak to our hearts, our beliefs and the many issues raised in challenging times. You don’t need a musical background to belong here.
