The City of Prescott and the Prescott Police Department would like to remind the community that the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees the fundamental freedoms, prohibiting Congress from restricting the rights of speech, press, assembly, and petition. With that comes the personal responsibility of all individuals to obey the laws of the State of Arizona, Yavapai County and the City of Prescott and respect personal rights of others.
As with all assemblies occurring in Prescott, the Prescott Police Department has had and will continue to have a presence to ensure and maintain peace and protect the safety of our community. Any unlawful activities or behaviors will not be tolerated and have resulted in and will continue to result in criminal charges if necessary. Those behaviors include, obstructing public throughfares such as roadways and sidewalks, throwing objects at people, disorderly conduct and assault.
If you witness any crimes or are the victim of a crime during one of these assemblies and it is an emergency dial 911 immediately. If it is not an emergency, please call the non-emergency line at (928) 445-3131.
