Upper Goldwater Lake to undergo Water Quality Treatment on January 15, 2026

The City of Prescott Public Works will conduct a phosphorus binding treatment to Goldwater Lake on January 15, 2026, as part of the Healthy Lakes Program. The same product recently used at Watson Lake will be applied to help remove phosphorus and sediment in the water, reduce summertime weeds and algae, supporting improved water quality and clarity during the warmer months.

Treatment benefits will be further enhanced with the installation of a solar-powered lake aerator planned for later in 2026. For more information, please contact Public Works or visit the Prescott Water Quality Dashboard.

The lake will remain open during treatment.
