It is believed that the fire originated in the fireplace and extended into the attic space. Two occupants safely self-evacuated prior to firefighters’ arrival. Crews made a coordinated attack and were able to stop the fire’s progress, preventing additional damage to the home.
The residents were displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross of Arizona. No injuries were reported.
Thank you to APS, Battalion Chief Moffit (Prescott Fire Department Battalion 1), Life Line Ambulance, Prescott Fire Department, Prescott Regional Communications Center, Red Cross of Arizona, and the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office for their support.
