Addie Prisciandaro led Prescott with 26 points that included five three point baskets. Bella Abt had a big gamer inside and finished with 17, as did Bentlee Crockett with 10.

It was a slow start for both teams with the game tied at two nearly midway through the first quarter. Then Prescott warmed up and that was when Abt was able to get her shots to drop and scored ten of the 19 first quarter points to put the Lady Badgers up 19-6.

The game slowed in the second quarter as the two teams played more evenly, but Prescott’s lead grew to 30-15 at the half.

The Lady Badgers saw Bentlee Crockett get a pair of buckets, with Abt knocking down two as well. Priscaindaro sank her third of five three pointers and Prescott led 45-26 after three quarters.

Prescott improved to (7-2) on the season as the ALA-Gilbert North falls to (1-3).

Prisciandaro said, “Our perseverance is what we showed and is what we need to keep going to be successful the rest of this season. They made a couple of runs in the second half and we were able to keep the lead and keep our intensity up.”

The Lady Badgers were coming off a (3-2) showing last week at the Salpointe Catholic Tournament. Prisciandaro said, “We needed to play better teams and that gave us a good idea of what we need to work on. It was definitely a learning experience that should help us for the rest of the season.”

Next up is a trip to Bullhead City on Friday for the opening of Grand Canyon Region play as the Lady Badgers take on Mohave at 5:30pm.
