The Prescott Free Clinic is proud to announce its inaugural “Cancer Care Connect” Purse Auction on Saturday, October 19th, 2025. This exciting new event aims to bring the community together for an afternoon of fashion and fundraising, with all proceeds dedicated to providing essential breast cancer treatment for women in Yavapai County.
The “Cancer Care Connect” initiative is dedicated to bridging the gap in healthcare access, making sure financial barriers do not prevent local women from receiving timely and comprehensive care.
Each year, approximately 3,400 women in Arizona are diagnosed with breast cancer. Many of these women live in Yavapai County, where breast cancer rates in women were higher than in any other Arizona county from 2000 to 2009. According to the 2022 Yavapai County Community Health Assessment, the survival rate for breast cancer is high. With 91% of women in Arizona surviving five years or more, and 71% of cases caught at an early, localized stage. Early detection saves lives.
The inaugural Purse Auction will be hosted at Essence Kitchen + Bar (1021 AZ-89 #104, Chino Valley) from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Attendees can look forward to a vibrant event featuring a silent auction of beautiful handbags, exciting raffles, and unique “Cork Mystery Bags.”
