A conceptual design for the Freedom Rock
Prescott Valley is set to become the proud home of a Freedom Rock, an artist-painted boulder that will honor our nation’s veterans. Thanks to the Town Council’s recent approval, this meaningful tribute to the service and sacrifice of our military heroes is officially moving forward!
A dedicated community group has formed to spearhead the initiative, collaborating closely with Town staff to ensure the project’s success. Conceptual designs for the memorial include the Freedom Rock itself, along with commemorative pavers and public seating to create a space for quiet reflection. The Freedom Rock will be placed on the PV Town Plaza adjacent to the Veterans Memorial, near the Veterans Walk of Honor.
Funding for the project will be driven by the community, with the group actively fundraising to bring the vision to life. The Town is now accepting donations to support the effort. The goal is to have the Freedom Rock in place and ready for public viewing in time for the U.S. 250th Birthday Celebration on July 4, 2026.

This looks like a good project for a good cause.
However, the Town of Prescott Valley spends way too much time, energy and taxpayer money on new logos, useless bridges across Glassford Hill Road and other non-essentials.
Meanwhile, the the quality of life in Prescott Valley continues to accelerate, downhill, like a runaway train, heading for the end of the line.
