This past 4th of July seemed to be more intense, more celebrated, and more patriotic than those in the recent past. The 250th Birthday parade in celebration of the United States Army, was an enormous display of patriotism and love of country, despite the Democrat/propaganda media cabal’s trying to equate this event with the military parades of the old USSR, Cuba, China, and South Korea. The huge crowd cheered, waved our flags and showed the pride we have in this unique and accomplished nation.
While there are polls showing a decline in pride for being American, the decrease is found only on the left side of the political spectrum. This is hardly surprising. The “democratic socialists”, communists, anarchists, BLM protagonists and ANTIFA radicals have a plan for our future. There is no room for optimism, patriotism, religion, Western Civilization, Judaeo/Christian ethics or effective governing. Their plan is to create a new socialist paradise. This plan can only be fulfilled if our current form of government is erased. So the leftist, so-socialist movement, called intelligentsia, accentuate everything negative in our history and ignore every positive correction we’ve made.
This socialist movement started in our nation in the early 1900s, accelerated in the 1960s and has gotten ever stronger since the fall of the Soviet Union. It started in our colleges and universities and has filtered down to our high schools and elementary schools. It has been promoted by teachers unions, the leaders of many labor unions and billionaire leftists like George Soros.
The COVID pandemic provided the power for the leaders of the movement in government to temporarily strip our God given and Constitutional rights of freedom of speech, religion and association, among others. Reason and logic finally prevailed. Benjamin Franklin once observed, “Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.” We did that during COVID and we should never let it happen again.
Since that recent dark period in our history, things have turned around. Whoever was running our government while zombie President Joe Biden was in office, almost ran the United States into a downward spiral toward extinction. Our enemies saw us as weak after the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan and Biden’s near invitation for Russia to invade Ukraine. Add to that his, at best halfhearted support of Israel after the barbaric attack by Hamas, and the whole world saw the US as a paper tiger.
Domestically, the Biden Administration brought us high inflation, men in women’s sports, “mostly peaceful” riots, an upsurge in child mutilations justified as a cure for sexual dysphoria, the criminalizing of Catholics, pro life advocates and political opponents. They gave us millions of illegal aliens, many of them violent criminals. No wonder the American voters so overwhelmingly voted for change.
And that change, in the form of Donald Trump, brought an almost immediate turnaround. The borders were sealed. Criminal aliens are being hunted down and deported. Inflation has dropped and is still getting lower. With deregulation and lower taxes, our economy and businesses are on the verge of an unprecedented financial expansion. The elimination of taxes on tips and overtime will strengthen the middle class and young families. With Trump’s strong leadership in foreign policy, his support of Israel, the bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities, the redirecting the military to lethality and away from woke DEI, our strength is being projected all over the world.
After Americans have gone through the dark inequity of the Biden years, they are seeing the bright future that the Trump Presidency, his incomparably competent Cabinet and Administration are delivering for our country. And with that, patriotism will continue to surge.
