At approximately 2:36 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025, crews from the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority (CAFMA) and the Prescott Fire Department responded to a structure fire near Spruce Road and Cedar Heights Road in Chino Valley, Arizona.
The fire originated in a detached garage and quickly spread to a nearby double-wide mobile home. The occupant was able to call 911 and evacuate safely with one dog before crews arrived.

Firefighters worked quickly to bring the blaze under control. Three dogs and one cat were safely accounted for—two dogs and the cat were rescued from the burning home by firefighters. One of the dogs was treated for smoke inhalation using a Fido Bag and was reported to be stable, along with the other pets. No injuries to community members or emergency personnel were reported.
The resident has been displaced and is being supported by family members. This fire is under investigation.
CAFMA extends its thanks to Arizona Public Service (APS), Copperstate Ambulance, Prescott Fire Department, and the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) for their assistance on scene.
