Badgers Make Quick Work of Westview 20-1 – Baseball Roundup

Photo: Cooper Magnett had a pair of doubles and three RBIs in the 20-1 win at Westview

The Prescott Badgers bounced back from a tough loss with a 20-1 win over the Westview Knights in Avondale.

After coming up a run short on Monday at Bradshaw Mountain, the Badgers were hopeful to get even with the Bears on Wednesday, but weather has pushed that game back to April 22.

Westview became the team to endure the Badgers wrath on the field that resulted in a 19 blowout. Cooper Magnett had the big bat, with three hits, including two doubles and four RBIs. Luke Tobin had a pair of hits and Adrian Sanderford had a hit and two RBIs.

Travis Gates picked up the win allowing just one run on two hits with five strikeouts in two innings of work. Matt Hepperle threw two perfect innings with three strikeouts to close things out as the Badgers improve to (8-4) on the season.

Prescott will host Lee Williams on Tuesday at 3pm. Westview (6-8) will play on Tuesday at Estrella Foothills.
