After the recent tragic accident on Williamson Valley Road, Sheriff Rhodes and the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office would like public comment on the speeding and reckless driving issues on this two-lane, winding road.
Saturday’s crash marked the 3rd fatal accident on Williamson Valley Road in which YCSO responded, along with 7 injury crashes, in the last 9 or 10 months.
Before March 22nd, YCSO dramatically increased traffic patrol on Williamson Valley, stopping over 90 drivers since the beginning of 2025.
In 2024, deputies stopped over 330 drivers for traffic violations, up from around 170 in 2023.
Even with the increased patrols, reckless driving continues. That is why YCSO is organizing this public meeting.
Please join us, Tuesday, April 1st, at 6 pm, inside CAFMA Station 61, located at 1133 West Road 3 North, Chino Valley.

Need to make entire road a no passing zone. Lower the speed limit and if that doesn’t work install 4 way stop signs every mile as a speed buffer
