Heritage Middle School Student Advances to State Spelling Bee

The Chino Valley Unified School District would like to congratulate Rebecca Caulkins of Heritage Middle School on winning the 79th Annual Yavapai County Spelling Bee in February and advancing to the Arizona Spelling Bee, being held this Saturday, March 15, 2025.

Saturday’s event, hosted by the Arizona Education Foundation, is being held at the Madison Center for the Arts, 5601 N 16th St, Phoenix, AZ 85016.

Caulkins, who is in seventh grade, joins 27 other finalists at the state level with the chance to advance to the national stage at the Scripps National Spelling Bee which will take place in the Washington, D.C. area on May 27, May 28 and May 29.

  1. Ah ha! Chino Valley school kicked Prescott and Prescott Valley schools butts! Imagine, the hundreds of students in much larger school districts getting beat like a rug! It always takes exceptional students to win honors but the four middle schools in Prescott and Prescott Valley should be working harder!
