Paintings by eleven local artists are among 80 pastel works on display at the 9th International Exhibition and Sale of the Arizona Pastel Artists Association at the Phippen Museum in Prescott.

Three artists from Sedona were among the show’s award winners. Burros Sharing Secrets by Nori Thorne won Best Animal/Wildlife. Late Summer Hike by Sedona artist Pamela DeLay won Art of the West Award of Excellence. Sacred Datura by Nita Duechie won Best Floral.

Other local artists participating in the exhibition include: Prescott artists Jeanne Wellins, Christine Bidwell, Lyn DeLano, Alison Crary, Dorothy Dooley, and Linda Vieser; Clarkdale artists include Joanne Agostinelli and Christine Debrosky.

The exhibition is an inspiring showcase of pastel’s vibrant color in a variety of subject matter. It includes southwestern artists, plus many from across the United States, Europe and Asia. Collectors and enthusiasts will find unique concepts amidst a selection of figurative, landscape, still life and abstract works.
The show runs through April 25, 2025. Visit the paintings in person at the Phippen Art Museum located at 4701 Highway 89 North in Prescott. Or paintings can be viewed online at the Arizona Pastel Artists Association website
