The Prescott Badgers extended their winning streak to nine games with a 77-55 win at Coconino.
The Panthers gave the Badgers a battle through the first half. Prescott opened up a seven point lead in the first quarter, but as both offenses warmed up it became an evenly played second quarter. The result was the Badgers finding themselves in a tight contest up by only seven at the half 34-27.
Prescott came out and took control of the game in the third quarter with plus 15 in the scoring column and going up 56-34 with one quarter remaining.
Like the second quarter, an evenly played final eight minutes closed out the contest as the #2 Badgers remained perfect in the Grand Canyon Region at (6-0).
Uriah Tenette lead all scorers with 26. Fitz Guinan kept the Panthers in the game for a while by knocking down six three pointers and scoring 23 on the night. Prescott nailed 13 three point shots and had a balanced attack with five players scoring in double figures. Tommy Richardson and Zane Gaul scored 12 each. Cooper Magnett had 11 and Josiah Peoples came off the bench to add 10.
The Badgers will host Bradshaw Mountain tonight in part two of the season rivalry matchup. Prescott won the first meeting 64-42 in Prescott Valley.

The Lady Badgers handled the Coconino Panthers easily in a 70-32 win in the Badger Dome. It was their fourth straight win over Coconino.
Prescott will host Bradshaw Mountain tonight at 5:30 pm. In the first meeting this season in Prescott Valley, the Lady Badgers won 54-34.
