Scammers Pretending to be Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office to Steal Money From the Public – YCSO

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office has been receiving phone calls from Yavapai county locals saying they have been contacted by someone claiming to be from the Yavapai County Sheriff’s office.  The scammers use the real phone number ID associated with the Yavapai County Sheriff’s office and are very aggressive in their phone call tactics.

This is not the Sheriffs’ Office.  The Sheriffs’ office will never contact someone to discuss obligations, missed jury duty, etc. YCSO will never contact the public to collect fines and/or threaten arrests.

On This Day in History — 1988

If the public receives these calls, please hang up. You can also call the sheriff’s office, which is 928-771-3260.  Please, do not give these scammers your money.

  1. I got a call like that a couple of years ago. We went round and round for a little while but he hung up on me when I asked for the name of the sheriff.
