The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office has been receiving phone calls from Yavapai county locals saying they have been contacted by someone claiming to be from the Yavapai County Sheriff’s office. The scammers use the real phone number ID associated with the Yavapai County Sheriff’s office and are very aggressive in their phone call tactics.
This is not the Sheriffs’ Office. The Sheriffs’ office will never contact someone to discuss obligations, missed jury duty, etc. YCSO will never contact the public to collect fines and/or threaten arrests.
If the public receives these calls, please hang up. You can also call the sheriff’s office, which is 928-771-3260. Please, do not give these scammers your money.
