Tuesday morning, Engine 74 was dispatched to the scene of a small wildland fire, approximately 75×75 feet, near Fry’s on Willow Creek in the wash. Crews quickly deployed a line and contained the fire by cutting a perimeter. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Great work by the team in keeping the fire contained and ensuring public safety.
As a reminder, please use caution when in or near areas prone to wildfires. Be mindful of fire safety, especially during dry conditions, and report any signs of smoke or fire immediately to 911.
