Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center (YRMC) President & CEO, Dr. Anthony Torres, accepted a Mayoral Proclamation for “Patient Blood Management Awareness Week” on behalf of the hospital and the Patient Blood Management (PBM) Department. Patient Blood Management Awareness Week is November 4 through 8. Dr. Torres accepted the proclamation by Councilmember Cathey Rusing, retired RN during an October city council meeting. The Proclamation notes that YRMC is staffed by professionals with a commitment to improving patient outcomes and educating the medical community about best practices in blood management.
“We are grateful for the Patient Blood Management Program and its role in improving outcomes for surgical patients and our community,” said Dr. Torres as he accepted the proclamation.
The Proclamation is part of the hospital’s annual observance of Patient Blood Management Awareness Week and its efforts to raise awareness to the benefits of proactively managing the health of our vital “liquid” organ both by clinicians and within the community.
