Once again we welcome Jody Drake, esteemed playwright and actor, in a lively evening filled with poetry and stories as she brings to life the incredible journey of portraying Sharlot Hall for 30 years!
This fundraising performance will take place on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 4:30 PM. Admission of $25.00 includes a light reception, with the presentation at 5:30 PM.
“Celebrating the Years with Sharlot” will feature Jody’s favorite poetry and share fascinating stories from her experiences. In this special evening, Jody will bring to life how it felt to travel as Sharlot for three decades and hundreds of performances.
The event is expected to draw history enthusiasts, local residents, and supporters of the Sharlot Hall Museum, all eager to witness Jody’s masterly performance. Proceeds from the event will support the museum’s ongoing efforts to preserve and promote the history and heritage of the region.

Born and raised in Prescott, Arizona, Drake has an impressive career that includes writing, and producing 22 historical plays, developing and training a dozen first-person presenters, and portraying Sharlot M. Hall, a historical figure of significant cultural importance, throughout the Western United States.
Jody first portrayed Sharlot Hall in 1994 in a show called “Soul of Yesterday” by Karla Burkett. It was performed at the museum amphitheater and the Elk’s Theater. Over the next 30 years, Jody brought Sharlot to life, not only across Arizona but also in California, New Mexico, Texas, and Utah.
