The Prescott Police Department is seeking the assistance from our community in identifying a suspect involved in the theft of a wallet and attempted fraudulent use of a credit card.
On July 31, 2024, at approximately 11:46 A.M. the unknown suspect was inside Wal-Mart located at 1280 Gail Gardner Way, when he reached inside the elderly victims’ purse while she was reaching for groceries. The suspect removed the victim’s wallet from the purse and immediately walked away from the area concealing the wallet by placing it down the front of his pants. The suspect then immediately left the store and walked to the nearby Game Stop where he attempted to purchase over $2,500 in merchandise.
Investigators were able to obtain clear photos of the suspect from security video and are asking for help in identifying the suspect. One or two ” bad apples”, do not spoil our cities or state.
