The sections of the new Glassford Hill Road monument arch were delivered on Friday. The new arch, along with two entrance monument signs, are planned to ensure that Prescott Valley’s boundaries are clearly defined and to provide entry features that stand apart from other area cities and towns. Residents in roundtable sessions have repeatedly commented on the need for Prescott Valley to improve its “curb appeal” along HWY 69 and provide entry monuments.
The arch and monument signs are the beginning of a multi-pronged tourism development plan to help diversify Prescott Valley’s economy and create a positive identity. We anticipate that the project will be completed in early to mid-November.
The Town Council awarded the contract for the arch and monument signs to Flouresco Services at the January 26, 2023, regular Town Council meeting. The arch will be installed on Glassford Hill Road near Pav Way.

Since the Prescott Valley Mayor and council seek to make PV a “tourist” destination; these monuments should be across Highway 69 Southeast of Prescott Valley. After you turn off of 69 you are “in” PV and “We the People” don’t want to be another Disney Land as in Anaheim, California. We want the quiet semi rural town we found to live in. Look into the Entertainment Center and the greedy vision the Fain Signature Group and the town manager are pushing on us with the help of Mayor Palguta and his 6 chicks.

yep every American is getting sick of this kind of across the board corruption even on local levels it’s high time the spirit of 1776 returned to the people and we took our country back for ourselves no more fire sector politicians no more selling out your people for a fatter wallet!
My husband and I left two years ago. We left just in time. I miss Harvey S. Sorry he retired. Things starting changing quickly after Palguta became mayor. Was my home for 30yrs.

I agree with Tom Steele. The monuments should be across Highway 69 at the Glassford Hill boundary. They should not be across Glassford Hill, since it is a boundary on the west side of town and land to the west is not part of Prescott Valley.
This arch should definitely be on Route 69 not on Glassford Hill Road, which is definitely a bottleneck as it is. One would want to see the Arch driving into Prescott Valley. Driving north on Route 69, if you didn’t look to the right as you passed the intersection of Route 69 and Glassford Hill Road you would miss it.
Why not build a equestrian center and new rodeo facility,at the old race park,do something for the history of Prescott and for the younger generation to learn about true west culture and family,I was told that old man Fain was true west,not all bout money how bout honor the past ,teach our children there the future ,never seen a Hearst with a luggage rack!
Roads crumbling, infrastructure lagging behind growth, arch sounds like a great idea. Not sure welcoming people to Prescott Valley after they’ve already been here for 20 minutes is the best option. And who were in these “resident round tables”? I’m guessing the mayor’s cheer squad?
How much did we spend on this contraption? We the people need to stand up when these types of things are being discussed.
Hopefully the new town council will be better stewards when these types of items come up.
they’re supposed to work for us, we pay their salary, and it’s long passed time they were reminded of how governments should work.
I think it is great that our humble little rural town can show how proud we are to be able to live here.
Monuments such as this simply demonstrate how much we love our community.
This is stupid. How much money is this useless atrocity costing? Ridiculous. PV residents don’t need all this gentrifying. They want a quiet community that limits the ugly urban sprawl that’s beginning to overtake this beautiful region.

Nor is it the entry to Reno NV. East and west on the 69 maybe but not on Glassford?. It’s not an “E” ticket ride. Don’t understand these so called town improvements. How’s about putting some effort on improving the traffic flow on the 69.
the mayor just posted on Facebook that a huge hotel is going up as well in the same area.
It’s only going to grow more. Lakeshore 360 housing projects, town giving incentives to businesses to come here. Four new housing communities on the 69 and 2 large hotels on the way. If you don’t like busy streets I would get out now. it’s only going to get more and more congested. I stopped going to many restaurants I used to enjoy there because it’s just too frustrating to get to them and then have to wait because they’re all crowded now. Great for the economy but not great for small town folks.
Prescott Valley was my home for 42 years.
I’m appalled at how this town government has wasted tax payer’s money on just unneeded crap.
they are going to bankrupt the Town.
if you want to see the Town manager’s vision then drive south to Marana Arizona and take a look at that travesty.
This is a Great improvement for the City and just Prescott Valley alone. The city has been improving greatly together and in culture. Been here since 93 and it’s develop well with all new thoughts, plans and adventures the younger generations bring us.

Makes no sense why they would put a boundary arch on Glassford Hill. I agree that it absolutely should be placed on Highway 69. Meanwhile, there is still no (much needed) full size shopping mall in this rapidly growing town. Shopping here is the worst. Sucks that all we have are thrift & souvenir stores & have to drive 2 hrs to the Valley for everything.
It’s sad that there are hardly any sidewalks within the neighborhoods in Prescott Valley. I don’t really see the point in this arch but I guess I’m not opposed to it. It just seems like money and effort that could be spent elsewhere. It’s not like there are a lot of attractions; waterpark gokart racing, putt putt golf, comedy dinner shows, etc…,for people to come here and stay on vacation for other than going outside. I feel like there could be bicycle trails and walking paths throughout the washes, connecting different points of interest for locals to get around. I love to get out and walk, but it’s very inconvenient when you have to drive to a park and pay a parking fee. I don’t feel safe walking along the side of a road even if it’s through a neighborhood.

It’s harebrained ideas like these that result in out-of-control spending. The demand was for more schools—now they’re being consolidated; more buses—now they’re driving nearly empty; more buildings—now only low-cost shacks are being constructed; more police—now hidden in unmarked units, not addressing issues that cause accidents. This leads to increased public service costs, then higher property assessments, impacting people with fixed incomes. Moreover, we lack a unique entertainment draw or a one-of-a-kind venue to offer.
