Starting this week, the NO-DES truck will be flushing hydrants in the Viewpoint subdivision for approximately 4 weeks. Crews will be accompanied by a large truck and hoses connected to fire hydrants throughout this flushing process.
In the past when the Utilities Department flushed hydrants, the water would go onto the road or the ground. With this technology from NO-DES, the unit filters and re-circulates the water inside the water distribution system to allow year-round flushing without wasting water. Water is removed from one fire hydrant, filtered, and then pumped back into the water system at a different fire hydrant.

So, instead of CAFMA crews testing the hydrants, PV spends millions for a truck and crew to save a few hundred gallons? The mayor and council could save millions of gallons by not approving another subdivision.
We need a new mayor and council; not another piece of expensive equipment.
mayor sucks
Yeah – what Tom said!
I’m with Tom!
I agree with Tom Steele. Stop the all the new construction in this area; the springs that provide our water are providing less and less yearly. Also, the heavy trucks are destroying our roads right after they have been paved. The months that it tooks to repave Glassford Road was ridiculous beyond belief. Now the trucks are already breaking the pavement.
This is so outrageous! First it’s spending 100’s of thousands so they can read your license plate, now this!
This whole town council and the Mayor “Mr. Ed” have to go!
I agree with the guys! We have to be smart about our water. The people who are in public service are not doing their job. They are in the. business of making money for themselves.
if your town is Stinky ,vote for Pinky… where can I sign up, to run.
I don’t understand if there’s so many against these people how’s it that they’re in the office, don’t you guys vote..
or do you think they just pick themselves.
GREAT comments! Amanda’s comments ring true. Are enough PV citizens awake to the many losses. Water. Open space. Pronghorns. Over growth of apartments (future crime). Overgrowth of government employees and unneeded equipment.
A non government review of all departments for efficiency is called for. And replacement or elimination of “many” senior management is likely called for.
How about a “cut” in the tax rate on food? Vote for Matt, Ken, Bill and Janell TODAY July 30th and make a better PV happen.
