On the morning of July 9, 2024, Erik Zamora-Bernal and Eduardo Ramirez, both of Phoenix, Arizona, were arrested for several felony narcotics-related charges after being stopped by the Prescott Valley Police Department for a civil traffic violation in the 10000 block of State Route 69.

During the stop, a certified Prescott Valley Police K9 (Kato) was used to conduct an exterior free air sniff of the vehicle, and he detected the presence of narcotics. A search was conducted and approximately 38 lbs. of methamphetamine, and 20,000 Fentanyl pills were found.

Both individuals admitted to their involvement in the offense and were then booked into the Yavapai County Detention Center in Prescott, Arizona.
