Wednesday afternoon at approximately 3:00 PM, Partners Against Narcotic Trafficking (PANT) detectives along with the YCSO Quick Response Team served an arrest warrant for drug trafficking charges at a residence located off Prescott East Highway in Castle Canyon Mesa.
During the operation, an armed suspect threatened the lives of the detectives on the scene, prompting a YCSO detective and a Prescott police officer to use lethal force to stop the threat. Fortunately, all law enforcement officers and deputies on the scene are uninjured. The incident will be investigated by the Department of Public Safety’s Special Investigation Unit.
